RRB ALP Notification 2026
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued a brief notification (CEN 01/2026) regarding the RRB ALP Recruitment 2026 in the employment newspaper. A total of 11,127 vacancies will be filled for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts. The selection process will consist of three stages: Computer-Based Test (CBT), Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), and Medical Examination/Document Verification.
Educational Qualification
Candidates with the following qualifications are eligible for RRB ALP posts:
- Must have passed the 10th grade from a recognized school, board, or college.
- Should hold an ITI certificate from an NCVT/SCVT-approved institute or college.
- 3-year diploma in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile)
Age Limit
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, with a maximum age limit of 30 years, to be eligible for the RRC ALP Exam.
Application Fee
- General/OBC Candidates: The application fee for General and OBC candidates is ₹500, with ₹400 refundable after appearing in the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
- SC, ST, EWS, Women, Ex-Servicemen, and PwBD Candidates: The application fee is ₹250, and the full amount will be refunded after the candidate appears in the CBT.
Selection Process
The RRB ALP Recruitment 2026 selection process includes three stages. Candidates are shortlisted through a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and a Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). The stages of the RRB Group D selection process are as follows:
